Speaking about China’s development, the Prime Minister fondly recalled his visit to Shanghai in the 1990s. He expressed admiration for Pudong’s transformation from farmland into a modern city and described China’s achievement in lifting hundreds of millions of people out of poverty and becoming the world’s second-largest economy within just a few decades as a remarkable and admirable accomplishment.

Looking to the future, he highlighted the great potential for cooperation between Australia and China in the green economy, noting the extensive opportunities for joint action under the Paris Agreement framework to achieve carbon neutrality. He affirmed that Australia will continue to deepen its cooperation with China in renewable energy, sustainability, and other key areas, working together to usher in a new chapter in Australia–China relations.

The Australian and Chinese economies are highly complementary, with long-standing, close cooperation not only in mining, energy, agriculture, and food, but also in education, tourism, and professional services. Looking ahead, and in the context of evolving international dynamics and global challenges, the two countries are well-positioned to expand multi-dimensional and high-level cooperation in emerging sectors such as carbon neutrality, green economy, healthcare, and the digital economy. Boman Group will continue to act as a bridge between the two markets, supporting bilateral businesses in deepening cooperation and achieving mutual success in this new stage of development.

As a financial institution with deep roots in Australia, Boman Group has always been committed to connecting capital with innovation and promoting global sustainable development. In recent years, while continuing to expand its presence in Hong Kong, Boman officially established operations in Tianjin in 2024, accelerating its strategic expansion into the Chinese market. Looking ahead, Boman will continue to assist more Australian companies in entering the Chinese market and achieving localized growth, while also supporting Chinese enterprises to go global and invest in Australia

“We firmly believe that this new chapter of Australia–China cooperation will not only benefit both countries and their people, but also have a positive impact on the world.”
