Boman Group Showcases Cross-Border Innovation at 2025 Canberra Networking Day

Canberra, October 29, 2025 —

Boman Group Founder and CEO Eric Gao (高松谕) joined the 2025 Canberra Networking Day hosted by the Australia China Business Council (ACBC) at Parliament House, where leaders from business and government came together to explore the future of innovation, trade, and bilateral cooperation.

During the panel “Dialogue: Investing in Innovation,” Gao sat down with journalist David Speers for a thought-provoking discussion on capital, technology, and the evolving landscape of Australia–China economic collaboration.

Boman Group Champions Innovation and Trust in Global Capital Collaboration

This year’s theme, “Between Borders and Bandwidth: Innovation, Trade and the Economic Future of Australia,” spotlighted how technology and capital are reshaping modern trade. The event gathered senior policymakers, investors, and executives to exchange ideas on fostering sustainable economic growth.

Drawing on more than a decade of experience bridging capital, industry, and innovation ecosystems between China and Australia, Gao shared three key pillars for the next wave of opportunity: smart capital deployment, industry-led technology adoption, and trust — the cornerstone of cross-border collaboration.

“Innovation alone doesn’t create lasting impact,” Gao said. “That alignment is what turns ideas into economic transformation — and it’s what Boman Group continues to build across borders.”

The annual flagship event brought together voices from across politics, industry and academia. Trade Minister Don Farrell and Assistant Foreign Minister Matt Thistlethwaite opened proceedings with remarks on the future of trade policy, followed by Opposition Leader Sussan Ley, who highlighted emerging opportunities in agriculture and food technology.

Dr Darren Lim delivered a keynote on technology and geopolitics, while representatives from the Australian Chamber of Commerce shared insights into the Chinese market. The program also featured a dynamic panel on “Green Economy and Bilateral Cooperation for Decarbonisation.”

On the eve of the event, guests attended the HSBC Executive Dinner at the National Gallery of Australia, where former WA Premier Hon Mark McGowan AC delivered opening remarks that set the tone for the day’s discussions.
