Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Melbourne, Boman Group is a cross-border asset manager serving high net worth and ultra high net worth individuals and families. It has A$1 billion in cumulative assets under management and offices in Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tianjin and Auckland.
Boman Group holds an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL No. 505332), covering financial advice, funds management, trustee services, securities, derivatives, foreign exchange and insurance.
Its international licences include Type 4 and Type 9 licences from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, a Capital Markets Services licence in Singapore, Financial Service Provider registration in New Zealand, and QFLP and QFII qualifications in China.

Eric Gao
Eric Gao is the Founder and CEO of Boman Group, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in investment, wealth management, asset management and fintech. Under his leadership, Boman has grown from a wealth management firm into an AFSL-licensed fund manager focused on technology, healthcare, ESG and alternative assets, with strategies spanning venture capital, private equity, IPOs and private credit.
Eric holds a Bachelor of Economics and Finance from RMIT and a Master of Applied Finance from Monash University, along with certificates in fintech, blockchain and big data from Oxford and MIT. Eric’s achievements have earned wide industry recognition. In 2018, he received the Golden Wattle Award, being named one of the Top 10 Outstanding Chinese Youths in Australia. In 2024, he was honoured with the Business Achievement and Alumni Enterprise Award at the 16th Australia China Alumni Awards (ACAA). In 2026, Eric Gao was appointed by the City of Melbourne to the Melbourne Innovation and Investment Advisory Board, providing strategic advice on the city’s innovation, investment and economic development.
